This standard covers the requirements for high visibility safety garments worn by personnel in the workplace. Materials used must meet the requirements of AS/NZS 1906.4.
a. Class D – garments designed for outdoor daytime use only, comprising of fluorescent or other non-retroreflective high visibility materials

b. Class N – garments designed for night-time use only, comprising of retroreflective elements on an unspecified background
Referenced by the number 4 after the colour.
c. Class D/N - garments designed for both day and nighttime use, comprising of retroreflective elements on a fluorescent or other non-retroreflective high visibility background material
